Ian Cathro

Ian was raised in Auckland, and completed his first degree in dentistry at the University of Otago in 1993. He then spent several years working in Auckland Hospitals before completing his medical degree and masters in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2002.

He extended his training by working in both Christchurch and Auckland and was awarded the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, achieving the medal for the highest mark in the final exam through out New Zealand and Australia.

Dr John Harrison

​​​John completed his dental degree (BDS) in Otago in 1992.He then held a dental house surgeon and registrar positions in Wellington for three years before travelling to the UK to further his professional experience.John returned to Dunedin in 1997 to commence his postgraduate training in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS). He moved to Christchurch the following year and completed his medical degree and masters degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery, with distinction in 2001.

Following this, he worked in both hospital and private general practice for several years.He later returned to Otago to commence specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He further gained his medical degree (MB ChB) and masters degree (MDS) in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2005. The following year Cameron worked as a general medical house surgeon at Auckland Hospital and completed his training in the Specialty working for several years as a senior registrar at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland.

After completing his postgraduate in Public Health, Waseem has worked in a number of dental practices in Auckland. In his current role as Clinical Team Leader, he ensures the smooth day to day running of our busy theatres and all aspects of our clinical practice, ensuring the highest standards, procedures, and protocols are met. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in dentistry and patient care. Outside of work Waseem loves playing soccer and is a Man United fan.

Nikki Blackmore

Nikki first joined our team in 2012 before taking time off to focus on her family.  She rejoined as Practice Manager in 2019 where she is responsible for the overall operation and smooth running of the practice.  She loves working in a premium practice that utilises her natural ability to engage and interact with people. Nikki is solutions focused and committed to creating the best environment for her great team and our very valued patients. She is always available and willing to assist in any way.
